Horse
Doesn't the title say it all!
It is difficult to give a title to a photograph that gives it justice. This is a fine horse, and a fantastic contrast against the lush green foliage.
Wonderful creature, spotted on Dartmoor, England. This not so little fellow is fortunate to have a warm stable at night. Not like our wild Dartmoor Ponies; who, sorry to say get killed due to the ignorance of many motorists speeding through the moors. Why approach such beauty at such a pace?
Wild Beauty
Wild ponies. Groups of them scattered across the moorland; their sturdy little bodies braving the elements. We are fortunate enough to have herds of these fantastic little ponies in the West Country and the moors would not be the same without them.
Lets help preserve them www.dartmoorponysociety.com
Conversations Between Sheep
Lambing Season. Spring 2007.
Taken a year after I rescued an emaciated lamb from the roadside after it's mother was killed. The poor thing was suffering from Tick Fever and had been living on a diet of grass alone. Not good for a poor little mite who still relied on the nourishment of it's mothers milk to survive.
This picture reminds me of that day, with the little lamb looking at is mother; demanding food! I am sure she does not mind.
My little man was luckily hand reared by the farmer I took him to. Lets hope he made it.
